June 14, 2013

On June 14, 2013 Golden Artist Colors, Inc. CEO Mark Golden will be speaking on a panel, "The One About Helping Artists Succeed," sponsored by Americans for the Arts in Pittsburgh, Penn, at its 2013 Annual Convention.

Mark will be one of five professionals speaking about the key role that arts organizations play in empowering artists to realize sustainable, creative careers. Residencies, insurance programs, teaching opportunities, and other initiatives can be instrumental in assisting working artists. In this session, art community leaders will be learning strategies they can implement in their neighborhoods to help artists attain long and viable careers.

For more than 50 years, Americans for the Arts has been convening an annual convention for arts and community leaders to network and discuss strategies for building stronger towns, counties and cities through the arts. the professional field has grown, so has the gathering. What started as a small group of 45 people in 1955 has now grown to more than 1,100 each year.
