Golden Paintworks Introduces Two New Primers Completing the Third Element of the Theme, Scenic and Mural "Paint Sandwich"

Golden Paintworks (GPW), the architectural coatings division of Golden Artist Colors, Inc, is pleased to announce, after close to two years of R&D, the introduction of a Premium Clear Concrete Primer as well as a Premium Ultra White Primer.  These two newest additions to the GPW product line-up make up the third layer of the increasingly prevalent and required theme industry standard of a 3-part primer, paint and UVLS topcoat system or as it is colloquially known, the "Paint Sandwich".  This single-label, compatibility-tested system is designed to take the guesswork out of end-user Theme, Scenic, and Mural Artists' paint work.  Assuring artists across all three painting disciplines that the three elements work together seamlessly and flawlessly.

From humble beginnings in a converted 20'x40' barn, Golden Artist Colors is pleased to celebrate its 45th year in business.  Founded by Sam Golden in 1980, following a career as partner in Bocour Artist Colors, where Sam Golden is credited as being the first to suspend artist pigments in acrylic polymers, developing what we know today as acrylic paint.  This gives GOLDEN more than 78 years' worth of institutional acrylic knowledge upon which to draw in our never-ending quest to improve the medium.
