New Packaging / Names for Golden Non-Color Products

September 08, 2019

SAME PRODUCTS, NEW NAMES

In addition to the updates to the label design on all of our mediums, grounds, varnish, topcoats and additives, the names were changed on a few products to better align the product names with their main attributes or primary applications. Below is a reference chart to help artists navigate the changes. In every case the item number and the product itself are unchanged.

Polymer Medium

POLYMER MEDIUM (GLOSS)
is now GLOSS MEDIUM

We also simplified the description to
reflect the overall utility of the product.

Gloss Medium
Acrylic Flow Release

ACRYLIC FLOW RELEASE
is now WETTING AGENT

We want to be clear that this is an
additive, not an acrylic medium -
the green logo indicates this is an additive.
(You'll see this on Retarder as well.)

Wetting Agent
Self Leveling Clear Gel

SELF LEVELING CLEAR GEL
is now
 CLEAR LEVELING GEL

A shorter name and more like
Clear Tar Gel, a product with
similar properties.

Clear Leveling Gel
Acrylic Glazing Liquid

ACRYLIC GLAZING LIQUID (GLOSS)
is now
 GLOSS GLAZING LIQUID

Similarly, Acylic Glazing Liquid (Satin)
is now Satin Glazing Liquid.

Gloss Glazing Liquid
Extra Heavy Gel

EXTRA HEAVY GEL / MOLDING PASTE
is now
 EXTRA HEAVY MOLDING PASTE

A shorter name and a lot less confusing.

Extra Heavy Molding Paste
Acrylic Ground For Pastels

ACRYLIC GROUND FOR PASTELS
is now
 PASTEL GROUND

Shorter name, really helps now that all 32 and 128 oz.
non-color products have names and descriptions in
three languages.

Pastel Ground

AIRBRUSH TRANSPARENT EXTENDER
is now
 HIGH FLOW MEDIUM

Helps artists see more uses for the product
than just airbrush, reduces confusion with
our Airbrush Medium.
