Golden Artist Colors Celebrates Opening of Norwich Facility
June 23, 2014
Yesterday Golden Artist Colors held a ribbon cutting ceremony and Business After Hours event in partnership with Commerce Chenango to celebrate the opening of its Norwich facility. In June 2013, GOLDEN acquired the former Apple Converting manufacturing building located at 65 Hale Street in Norwich, N.Y. The 45,000 square foot commercial space significantly increased the company's warehousing and distribution capacity. Having this additional space also freed up manufacturing floor space within the company's current facility in Columbus, N.Y.
"This new facility will help support the growing demand for our products throughout the global marketplace," said GOLDEN CFO, James E. Henderson. "The Norwich facility, which represents the company's first expansion off the original company property, provides an additional business platform for expanded growth and the achievement of our long term strategic goals."
"The staff has been just incredible during this exciting transition," said Operations Manager, Greg Sheldon. "In just a few short weeks, we were up and running in Norwich without compromising operations in the New Berlin facility."
"We are excited to share our growth in the community and express our gratitude to everyone who had a part in this process," said GOLDEN President and COO, Barbara Schindler. "We are truly grateful for the outpouring of support we've received throughout this endeavour. It wouldn't have been possible without the assistance from our local business leaders."
