Golden Artist Colors Announces New Marketing Director

Golden Artist Colors announces the recent hire of Matt Cleary as its new Marketing Director. As Marketing Director, Cleary is responsible for managing the company’s brands and marketing programs globally. His team is critical in understanding the needs of artists, and in developing education outreach, product innovation, and communication to inspire their creative process. His energy and leadership is instrumental in creating an artist centric approach across company functions.
In this position, Cleary will lead Brand Managers, Brand Community Coordinator, Creative Director and Education Program Director to successfully develop and execute the marketing strategy for Golden Artist Colors’ family of fine art products: GOLDEN Acrylics, Williamsburg Handmade Oils and the company’s newest product line, QoR® Watercolor.

Prior to joining GOLDEN, Matt held a number of leadership positions in brand management and innovation with Pepperidge Farm and Nestlé. He has over 15 years consumer packaged goods experience combining brand building and innovation with roles in customer development and finance. Strong in idea generation and brand building, Cleary is able to generate creative strategic thinking and seamlessly transition to detailed execution.
Cleary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Amherst College and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. Cleary resides in New Hartford, N.Y., with his wife and children.
