Golden Artist Colors Staff Cleans Up Community for Earth Day
April 28, 2026
Employees from Golden Artist Colors celebrated Earth Day by cleaning up garbage around their facility in New Berlin, as well as their warehouse in Norwich. They have been participating in Earth Day cleanup for several years. This year 12 roads in Columbus were cleaned up while employee volunteers in Norwich focused their efforts on cleaning up debris along the river near the company’s warehouse on Hayes Street. In total, there were 60 employees who participated and were able to remove hundreds of pounds of garbage from our community.
For close to 10 years now, Bert Adams Disposal has supported the cleanup with a donation of a 20-yard roll-off container. It will transport the debris to the landfill for disposal. Town of Columbus Highway Superintendent, Kevin Cross organized removal of any debris that was too large for staff to handle.
One of the benefits of being an employee at GOLDEN is that all full-time employees may use up to 40 hours of paid Community Service time per year. Earth Day Clean Up is just one way this time can be used.
After the event, lunch was provided to volunteers by Hub Cap Munchies LLC, a food truck company owned by GOLDEN staff member, Matt Asma.
