Managing Leftover Paint

Managing Leftover Paint

It is estimated that out of 650 million gallons of paint sold each year in the United States, between 16 and 35 million gallons are leftover.  Managing this paint through disposal and recycling could cost taxpayers up to $280 million dollars.

Considering this financial and ecological liability, concerned members of the paint industry, government and public interest groups have launched Paint Wise, an internet portal, as a tool for consumers to use to reduce these burdens.
