June 26, 2012

Today Americans for the Arts recognized Golden Artist Colors as a 2012 BCA 10: Best Companies Supporting the Arts in America honoree. Given annually, the BCA 10 recognizes ten businesses of all sizes for their exceptional involvement with the arts to enrich their workplace, education, and the community. These top ten companies set the standard of excellence and serve as role models for others to follow.

According to Victoria Kappel, Executive Director of the Chenango County Council of the Arts, "The Chenango County Council of the Arts is pleased and proud that Golden Artist Colors calls Chenango County home. Since 1980, the Golden family has demonstrated their commitment to the arts, the environment, their employees and their community while growing their small business into an international company rooted in integrity and professionalism. It is absolutely fitting that they have been recognized as one of the BCA 10."

"We were absolutely thrilled when we received the exciting news," said GOLDEN CEO, Mark Golden. "We are so fortunate to be able to work with the most creative artists in the world. This both inspires and enlivens our entire staff knowing we can make a difference. Giving back is just our way to join in this community that has given us so much."

Golden Artist Colors began as a four-person company producing artist paint in 1980. A commitment to delight its customers has lead to consistent growth. Now employing 155 full-time employees in its 100,000 square-foot facility, GOLDEN continues to extend the boundaries of painting through producing quality innovative products born of a constant dialogue with artists. Such high standards are achieved through efforts from the entire staff in a shared commitment to excellence.

"Golden Artist Colors is passionate about the creative class and recognizes that our engagement and support of the arts is essential to the growth and prosperity of each and every community locally and worldwide," said company President and COO Barbara Schindler.
