Golden Artist Colors Announces New Education Program Director
March 01, 2019
Golden Artist Colors announces the recent hire of professional artist and educator Stacy Rosende as its Education Program Director. Prior to joining GOLDEN in this newly established role, Rosende was an art educator at Hillsborough County Public Schools in Tampa, FL, where she taught classes in two-dimensional design, three-dimensional design, and painting while managing 50 Advanced Placement candidates for the 2017-2018 school year. While there, she received an individual artist grant, an artist residency in Venice, Italy, and an award for Teaching Excellence in the Visual Arts.
In her new role, Rosende will oversee all GOLDEN Education Programs, with a focus on evaluating strategic opportunities, developing new content formats, and driving greater integration of all GOLDEN Education Program offerings.
Kevin Greeland will continue in his role as Education Coordinator, heading up the GOLDEN Working Artist and Artist Educator Programs, both of which are international in scope and continue to expand. The GOLDEN Certified Working Artists provide lecture demonstrations for art groups, education institutions, and retail locations, while GOLDEN Artist Educators offer hands-on workshops to a range of audiences. Rosende and Greeland are both full-time GOLDEN employees based at company headquarters in New York, which enables them to collaborate on all Education Program strategies and stay integrated with GOLDEN brand strategies and the Material Application Specialists.
Matt Cleary, Marketing Director at Golden Artist Colors, shared, “The addition of Stacy and continued leadership of Kevin will help us drive greater integration of our education offerings into the brand experience, and to leverage new technologies and content formats to increase artist engagement. The team expansion will also enable Kevin to focus on evolving training, content and events for an expanding international network of over 200 educators.”
Rosende’s extensive experience in the fine arts and art education also includes her work as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tampa. During this time she taught painting, drawing, and printmaking. She also led several student exhibitions throughout the year and assisted in the “studio f” visiting artist program. She was instrumental in fostering collaboration between the University and OSHA for positive change in the school’s printmaking studios.
Rosende holds an MFA in Painting from Boston University. She has also exhibited her artwork in numerous group and solo exhibitions throughout the US and internationally. She currently resides in New Hartford, N.Y.
