GOLDEN Introduces Three New Textures to the Marketplace
Just when you thought the world had enough acrylic gels, GOLDEN has added three new textures and pastes to its incredible array of unique artist mediums. The company is expanding its range of offerings to include three new innovative products Glass Bead Gel, Fiber Paste and Coarse Molding Paste. Recognizing artists' tremendous interest in unique textures, GOLDEN is not only inspiring experimentation, creative applications and unique possibilities for artists already familiar with what gels can do for their work, but also opening the door to artists just starting to explore gels and pastes. The possibilities are endless.
"We're very excited about the opportunity to launch these new products," said Product Manager, Dana Rice. "We've been engaged in conversations with artists about these mediums for awhile, so we're pleased to be able to answer their requests and provide them to a larger audience. We are committed to giving artists the most imaginative tools possible so that they are able to turn their vision into reality."
Glass Bead Gel, made with genuine glass beads, offers a clear, textural gel with a unique reflective quality. It can be used un-tinted for layered texture or mixed with iridescent or transparent colors for increased color play. Mixing it with opaque colors will create a sand-like appearance.
Fiber Paste, with the look of handmade paper, offers an opaque, flexible, rough surface that is ideal as a ground or a texture. Artists can skim it with a wet palette knife for a smooth, paper-like surface.
Coarse Molding Paste at first glance may look similar to Light Molding Paste, but is harder, warmer in color and more translucent. With good tooth, this paste makes a great surface for color washes of Fluid Acrylic Colors or as a ground for drawing media.
The Gel Medium line extension will feature Glass Bead Gel, Fiber Paste and Coarse Molding Paste in all five Gel Medium Acrylic sizes: 2 oz. samples, 8 oz., 16 oz., 32 oz., and 128 oz. Artists can expect to find these new products in their local retail stores this summer.
